Feng Gu was born in Manchuria, China, in 1974. He describes himself as a freelance writer, independent musician and a dissident. He sought asylum in the UK in July 2015 and was granted refugee status in October 2016. Feng says, 'it is a great honour to work with the famous Pitt Rivers Museum to complete this project, which is an important step in Oxford'. Feng hopes his personal descriptions about 'Chinese cultural relics' will provide a 'more full' experience for the visitors that view them.
